Man Allegedly Dips Local Toddler In Hot Water

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― A man is in the Allegheny County Jail after he allegedly harmed a young boy on the North Side.

Herbert Jamison, 22, from Cleveland, OH, is charged with aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

Police say he was watching a 3-year-old boy at a home on Progress Street. Jamison allegedly got angry when the boy soiled his pants and dipped the child in a bathtub of hot water.

The boy suffered second-degree burns on the lower part of his body and a lacerated ear after he was slapped in the face.

The child was taken to Allegheny General Hospital.
