Officials: Bones In Beaver County Creek Not Human

OHIOVILLE (AP) ― A deputy coroner says bones found in a creek near the Ohio border are animal, not human.

Beaver County Chief Deputy Coroner Renea Esoldo says the bones found in the Little Beaver Creek in Ohioville are likely from a large animal, such as a deer or a dog.

Children found the bones while they were swimming under a train trestle on Wednesday about 30 miles northwest of Pittsburgh.

One of the children told their mother who called police.

A fire department dive team was called to search the water and found even more bones.
