Four Suspects Sought In Laughlintown Bank Robbery

LAUGHLINTOWN (KDKA) ― Federal investigators are searching for four men after a bank robbery in Westmoreland County.

Officials say one of the robbers forced a woman to the ground inside the First Commonwealth Bank on Route 30 in Laughlintown this morning.

One robber jumped the counter and hit a male bank employee in the head with a gun after he told him he didn't know the combination to the safe. Someone else opened the safe and the robbers got away with an undetermined amount of cash.

The robbery lasted less than five minutes.

The suspects were described as black males wearing motorcycle or paintball helmets.

Investigators say about five minutes before the robbery, a black male fired two gunshots near the Dollar General in Ligonier.  It was believed to be a diversion.

Anyone with information should call the FBI at 412-432-4000.
