ME: No ID On Dead Woman Till Sunday At Earliest

PITTSBURGH (KDKA/AP) ― The Allegheny County Medical Examiner says he doesn't expect to identify the dead woman linked to a baby mystery until Sunday at the earliest.

Dr. Karl Williams says he's seeking dental records to identify the woman whose body was found in the Wilkinsburg apartment of 38-year-old Andrea Curry-Demus.

He says the dead woman is presumed to be the mother of the baby that Curry-Demus brought to a Pittsburgh hospital.

Williams says the dead woman's fingerprints didn't show a match in a police database.

Police say Curry-Demus was taken to West Penn Hospital earlier this week with a newborn she falsely claimed was hers. Doctors determined she was not the baby's mother.

She then allegedly told police she bought the baby for $1,000. She remains in jail until she posts $10,000 bond and undergoes a psychiatric exam.
