Apollo Pre-School Vandalized
APOLLO (KDKA) ―
Forty children had to stay home from pre-school today after someone broke into the Apollo Head Start and vandalized it.
Teachers arrived Tuesday morning to find books and games thrown all over the floor, profanity on the walls and paint splattered everywhere.
They think someone broke in overnight Sunday and stole the key, then came back last night and caused the damage.
Sessions were canceled because of the extent of the damage.
They'll remain cancelled until the center can be cleaned up.
Officials estimate damage to be several thousand dollars.
Head Start supervisors say they have filed a police report.
They're hoping someone in the community will come forward with information that will lead police to the people responsible.
Stay with KDKA for more details.
