Accidental Shooting Injures 2 In Fayette County

BROWNSVILLE (KDKA) ― A shooting in Brownsville left two people injured early Tuesday morning.

According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, police were called to the 500-block of Fifth Avenue around 12:35 a.m. for a woman who had been shot.

Upon arrival, they found Patricia Christner, 19, and Randy Painter, 21, injured.

According to police, both were injured when something caused a shotgun in the car to discharge.

Both were transported to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital for treatment. The injuries sustained are not believed to be life-threatening.

An investigation is ongoing into what caused the gun to discharge.
