Woman, Granddaughter Hurt In Slippery Rock Crash

SLIPPERY ROCK TOWNSHIP (KDKA) ― A one-car accident this afternoon left a woman and her grandchild seriously injured in Butler County.

The crash happened around 4 p.m. on Route 8 in Slippery Rock Township.

Officials say a 58-year-old woman, from Harrisville, apparently lost control of the car, left the road and crashed.

Her 5-year-old granddaughter was taken to Children's Hospital for treatment, authorities report.

Their names have not been released.
