Local Newlyweds Arraigned On New Charges
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ―
The local newlywed couple, who is accused in a brawl on their wedding night at a Ross Township hotel, was back in court today to face new charges.

KDKA's Paul Martino reports that Dr. David Wielechowski and his wife, Christa, were arraigned this morning on new charges of aggravated assault, conspiracy and simple assault.
Now that they are facing felony charges of aggravated assault , it could mean time in jail.
"Previously, the most severe was simple assault. The aggravated assault is a felony where the simple assault was a misdemeanor," said Patrolman James Fitch, of Ross Township Police.
According to Ross Township police, several new victims have come forward in the case.
Police add that the aggravated assault charge stems from one of the previously reported victims, who now requires surgery for a groin injury.
Investigators say that man was severely injured by an alleged kick by Dr. Wielechowski during the brawl.
"There are two of the victims that most likely will require surgery," said Fitch. "One is going to have a torn ligament in his thumb repaired and the other possibly is going to require groin surgery."
In an interview earlier this week, the couple said they were the victims on the night of the brawl back in April. They said they have been living a nightmare since that night.
"What is being said and written about me is untrue and these allegations are ruining my life," David said earlier this week.
Dr. Wielechowski is accused of karate kicking his wife, and then fighting with other people who attempted to come to her aid.
Christa said that her husband did not "initiate aggressive conduct" on that night and "has never" harmed her.
