Police say two teenagers are responsible for a vandalism spree that spanned a 10-block area in White Oak over the weekend spray-painting expletives and offensive symbols on nearly a dozen homes and a church in the community.
Parishioner Theodora Hionis found what she described as "horrible, vulgar words" on the front of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church on Sunday morning.
Church members worked quickly to cover the graffiti that could also be seen on nearby homes.
Today police in White Oak confirmed that they arrested two 17-year-olds from McKeesport. Officials say the teens admitted to spray-painting the church and other properties.
The teens are now facing charges of institutional vandalism.
