Route 48 Opens After White Oak Crash

WHITE OAK (KDKA) ― A crash in White Oak sent one man to the hospital.

It happened shortly after 1 p.m. Friday.

Police say the driver crossed the center line on Route 48 near Ripple Road, hit another vehicle and was ejected through the windshield.

The car ended up on its roof. The driver, a man in his 50's, was flown to a local hospital. There's no word on his condition.

Officials say the driver of the second vehicle was not badly hurt.

Route 48 was blocked off while crews cleared the scene.
