Export Man Accused Of Driving Tractor While Drunk

EXPORT (KDKA) ― Police say a Westmoreland County man was drunk when he tried to drive his tractor to a store to buy more beer.

Officials say Ford Earl Broome, of Export, was driving near a tavern when a state trooper pulled him over.

Broome initially denied drinking, but officials say he then admitted to drinking a little before going to the bar to buy more beer.

Authorities report that Broome's blood alcohol content was around twice the legal limit.

He faces a preliminary hearing next month.
