Gas Service Shut Off To Broken West Mifflin Line

Buttermilk Hollow Road is closed in both directions between Lebanon Church Road and Pittsburgh-McKeesport Boulevard

WEST MIFFLIN (KDKA) ― Equitable Gas crews have turned off service to a broken line that caused a road closure and evacuations in West Mifflin.

A water company working in the area apparently struck a four-inch line shortly after 4 p.m. in the 4900-block of Buttermilk Hollow Road.

Equitable Gas owns the line.

Six homes in the area were evacuated.

Buttermilk Hollow Road remains closed in both directions between Lebanon Church Road and Pittsburgh-McKeesport Boulevard.
