Community Members Oppose Proposed Strip Club

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― Dozens of community members gathered to express their concerns about a proposed strip club in a Pittsburgh neighborhood.

The West End-Elliott Citizens Council and other city leaders met at Emanuel United Methodist Church Monday evening.

The proposed club would be on West Carson Street, next door to the Onala Club, a facility for recovering alcoholics.

Opponents of the club are concerned about traffic and they say it sends the wrong message.

Patrick Risha, who proposed to open the strip club, assures the planning commission that it will be an upscale operation and not a dive bar in any way.
