Deliberations In Wecht Trial To Resume Tuesday

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― Deliberations in the fraud trial of former Allegheny County Coroner Dr. Cyril Wecht will resume on Tuesday.

Jurors are getting a few extra days off because of the Easter holiday weekend.

Dr. Wecht is accused of using his former staff at the Coroner's Office to benefit his private practice. He is facing 41 counts.

The jury began deliberations on Tuesday after hearing closing arguments. So far deliberations have been ongoing for about 16½ hours now.
