Irwin Woman To Receive Award From President Bush

Lydia Humenycky, of Irwin, spent two years in West Africa working for the Peace Corps and will be given the President's Volunteer Service Award.

A local woman will receive an award from President George W. Bush on Thursday.
Lydia Humenycky, of Irwin, spent two years in West Africa working for the Peace Corps and will be given the President's Volunteer Service Award.
She left her accounting job in March of 2005 to work in two communities in Togo until December 2007.
The president will also attend a private fundraiser in Sewickley Heights tomorrow.
