Reward Upped In Pizza Deliveryman's Murder

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― On the second anniversary of the murder of a local pizza deliveryman officials say an anonymous donor has come forward to raise the reward for information in the case.

On January 16, 2006, 36-year-old Christopher Williams, of Swissvale, was shot and killed on Camp Avenue at Second Street in Braddock.

He was working as a pizza delivery driver for Vocelli Pizza at the time.

Police say Williams was shot on the sidewalk in an apparent robbery attempt, moments after delivering pizzas to a home.

Authorities say the anonymous donor has offered up to $22,000 for information leading to an arrest. Also, Vocelli's is providing $2,000 and Crime Stoppers is giving a $1,000 reward for information.

Anyone with information involving this case is asked to call Allegheny County Homicide at 412-473-1300.
