Vanderbilt Man Charged In Strangulation Death

VANDERBILT (KDKA) ― A man from Fayette County is behind bars accused of strangling another man during a fight over the weekend.

Police arrested Richard Henry, Jr., 38, on homicide charges for the death of Eric Fetsco, 38, of Connellsville.

According to state police, witnesses confirmed that the two men got into a fight at a home along Main Street in Vanderbilt late Saturday night.

The witnesses told police that Fetsco turned blue and had difficulty breathing after Henry got off him. A friend drove Fetsco to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Fayette County Coroner Philip Reilly ruled that Fetsco died from asphyxiation due to compression of the neck.

Henry is being held in the Fayette County Prison awaiting his preliminary hearing.
