The Steelers potentially lost more than a football game to the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.
Troy Polamalu left the game in the first quarter after suffering a left knee injury after making a tackle and did not return.
It is the same knee that he had a sprained MCL in earlier this season, which forced him to miss four games.
An MRI after the game showed that the injury is not as serious as the one suffered in the Steelers' season-opening win over the Tennessee Titans.
Polamalu was seen flexing his knee after stopping Bengals running back Cedric Benson in his tracks.
It is not yet known if the injury will force him to miss more time this season.
