IRS Holding Unclaimed Refunds Worth $124 Million
PHILADELPHIA (KDKA) ―
With the holidays just around the corner, we could all use some extra money in our wallets; but thousands of Pennsylvanians have money waiting for them and may not even realize it!
The Internal Revenue Service is holding federal income tax refunds totaling about $124 Million.
The Postal Service returned the refunds to the IRS due to incorrect or outdated addresses.
Across Pennsylvania alone, over 3,000 taxpayers didn't get their refunds which average nearly $1,200. Here in the Pittsburgh area, the IRS owes refunds worth a total of over $337,000 to some 450 people.
