Smith Township Police Officer Arrested

  A police officer in Washington County is facing charges following an alleged assault at a fast food restaurant.

Smith Township police officer Derek Dayoub, 26, of Pittsburgh, is accused of assaulting a person at the McDonald's in Burgettstown in October.

He's facing charges of simple assault, official oppression and harassment.

Dayoub was arrested Wednesday.
