Ambulance Driver To Stand Trial In Fatal Accident

(KDKA) An ambulance driver was ordered today to stand trial on charges she caused a fatal accident while on the job.

Shanea Climo, 21, of Evans City is facing several charges in the case including involuntary manslaughter.

Police say Climo was drunk and speeding when she collided with another vehicle back in September.

Officials says a camera inside the ambulance showed Climo running a red light on Route 19 and crashing into a car driven by Douglas Stitt, 38, of Mercer. Both Stitt and his passenger were killed in that crash

Climo was transporting a patient at the time.

Investigators say they determined her blood alcohol level on the night of the crash was at 0.092 percent at 2:20 a.m., which was the time of the accident.
