Jurors Seated To Hear Case Against Sen. Regola

GREENSBURG (KDKA) ― A panel of six men and six women will listen to testimony in the case against a state senator accused of not properly storing a handgun that wound up in the hands of a 14-year-old neighbor who shot himself.

Jury selection wrapped up earlier today in Westmoreland County in the trial for State Senator Bob Regola.

Regola is accused of not properly storing a handgun that ended up in the hands of Louis Farrell, a 14-year-old neighbor who shot himself two years ago.

Senator Regola will also face perjury charges at his trial for allegedly lying during a coroner's inquest into the Farrell's death.

Opening statements are expected to begin tomorrow morning.
