Santonio Holmes Will Stand Trial On Abuse Charges
COLUMBUS, Ohio (KDKA) ―
Pittsburgh Steelers rookie Santonio Holmes will stand trail on domestic violence charges even though his girlfriend is refusing to cooperate with prosecutors.
Holmes was in court today in Columbus, Ohio.
A judge ordered Holmes to stand trial next month on assault and domestic violence charges.
Last month Holmes' girlfriend, Lashae Boone, told police Holmes choked her, threw her on the ground and slammed her into a door.
But now, Boone is refusing to testify and wants the charges against Holmes dismissed.
Holmes paid $700 Thursday to resolve an outstanding traffic violation from 2005.
He remains free on $3,500 bond.
