FBI Field Office Named After Slain Special Agent

BALTIMORE (KDKA) ― Three-year-old Noah Hicks, who this time last year walked with his mother Brooke at the funeral of his father, watched the unveiling of a plaque in his father's memory.

The Baltimore field office now bears the name of FBI Special Agent Sam Hicks who was killed in the line of duty in Allegheny County in 2008.

Charlotte Carrapatta, Hicks' mother, and his sister Emily Hicks said Sam would look at the ceremony and think, "This is cool that they named a building after me."

One of his colleagues in the Pittsburgh FBI office, agent David Porter, said seeing the outside of the building with his name gave him some closure.

But Porter added, "I'd give it all up if I could have Sam Hicks back."
