Demolition To Begin At Former St. Francis Hospital

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― Demolition of the former Saint Francis Central Hospital is expected to begin within days.

The building is coming down in order to make way for the new Penguins arena.

The demolition is expected to take four months.

So far, the Sports and Exhibition Authority has demolished 12 buildings to make room on the arena site.

The new arena is expected to be open by the Pens' 2011 season.
