Route 28 Test Blast Postponed

HARMAR TWP. (KDKA) ― Today's test blast along Route 28 in Harmar Township has been postponed until further notice.

PennDOT is attempting to stabilize the hillside along the highway.

The testing was first set to take place at 8 a.m. Saturday, but was cancelled.

PennDOT was forced to postpone the blasting because the Penguins and Pirates games begin in the afternoon.

Route 28 will be closed for 15-minutes when blasting occurs.

If things don't go as planned, other closures may be necessary.

Stay with KDKA for more details.
