Police Target Aggressive Drivers On Route 22

DELMONT (KDKA) ― Pennsylvania State Police are working with local departments to crack down on aggressive drivers and "stand out" speeders on Route 22 from the West Virginia line to Juniata County, near Harrisburg.

Police are also focusing on those driving impaired and not wearing seat belts.

The enforcement effort is being called Tag Team 22.

There have been nearly 3,000 crashes resulting in 48 fatalities from 2003 through 2007 on the 173-mile Route 22 corridor being monitored.

The special crackdown lasts through Wednesday.
