New Ronald McDonald House Nears Completion

Today, Ben Roethlisberger, among others, went on a tour of the facility that's sure to brighten up some families lives.

The new Ronald McDonald House is almost complete.
Today, KDKA's David Hall and Ben Roethlisberger, among others, went on a tour of the facility that's sure to brighten up some families lives.
It's located right outside the brand new Children's Hospital location in Lawrenceville.
The Ronald McDonald House will help families like the Burketts from North Carolina.
They are trying to get their 11 year old daughter, Haley, treated for a genetic liver disease.
This new Ronald McDonald House will make things easier for them while they are away from home.
"I think it will be very nice having a place to stay like this. Without the Ronald McDonald House we wouldn't be able to be here waiting for Haley's surgery," said Jenniel Burkett.
Today, Ronald McDonald House President Joe Rockey gave the family a tour along with special guest Big Ben.
"It's just awesome. This is such a great facility... It is so awesome," said Roethlisberger.
Equipped with 60 family rooms, private suites, dining rooms, kitchens and laundry rooms, it's basically a home away from home.
The house opens in August.
