Members of the FBI Evidence Response Team returned to the home today in Indiana Township where a special agent was shot and killed Wednesday during a drug bust.
Officials worked this morning at the Korbe residence to process the crime scene, where Special Agent Samuel Hicks was shot.
But the shooting and drug bust remains on the minds of the Korbe's neighbors and the people in Sharpsburg, where the suspect's father runs a business.
The Korbes often dined at the restaurant next door to their family-owned convenience store on Main Street in Sharpsburg.
"It's real hard to understand," said one woman who works in the restaurant. "It's just something, you know, when I met her here, you know - very nice - when she had a meal here."
According to court papers, during the incident, the detectives clearly identified themselves before entering the residence. Agents went to the Korbe's house with a warrant for Robert Korbe's arrest on drug charges when the shooting happened.
Christina Korbe has been charged with criminal homicide in Hicks death. She was arraigned Wednesday night and was taken to Allegheny County Jail. Robert Korbe has been is facing drug charges and is also in jail.
"It's a shame a cop had to get shot. Even on the news stories I heard on that, I don't know, his wife called 911, apparently," said a Sharpsburg man who was acquainted with the family. "I would think she thought somebody was breaking into the house."
Christina Korbe's father operates the convenience store in Sharpsburg. KDKA's Bob Allen reports that he did not want to talk on camera.
Robert Korbe is set to have a hearing on Monday and given his prior record he could spend the rest of his life in prison if convicted.
Meanwhile, the Allegheny County Medical Examiner has released the results of the autopsy completed on Hicks. Officials say he died of a single gunshot wound to the chest.
