Point State Park To Reopen Earlier Than Expected

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― The newly renovated Point State Park is now set to open earlier than expected.

According to our news partners at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the park is now set to reopen on May 30th.

State officials had aimed for a June reopening, but say they moved up the date after they saw good results with the newly planted lawn.

About 23 acres of the park will be open to the public including the front portion of the park where most of the renovation work has taken place as well as much of the great lawn near the fountain.
