Name Chosen For Casino On North Shore

PITTSBURGH (AP) ― Pittsburgh's slots casino will be called Rivers Casino.

The project was to be called Majestic Star, but the name change comes after Chicago developer Neil Bluhm's group took control of the project.

Bluhm's group took over after original license holder Don Barden was unable to get funding for the $780 million project.

Officials say construction is on budget and on schedule to open in August 2009. It will employ about 1,000 people.
