Rockies Sweep Pirates With 11 To 3 Win

DENVER (AP) ― Matt Holliday and Jeff Baker homered and had three hits each, Aaron Cook won his team-leading 12th game and the Colorado Rockies completed a four-game sweep of the Pittsburgh Pirates on Sunday, 11-3.

Cook (12-6) was roughed up for three runs in the first but gave up just one hit over his final six innings to get the victory.

Clint Barmes had three hits and Ian Stewart was 2-for-4 with two runs and three RBIs for the Rockies, who swept a four-game series for the first time this season.

Zach Duke (4-7) went five-plus innings, striking out five.

He retired the first 10 batters of the game before giving up nine runs to his final 16 batters.

Next up for the Pirates is a three-game set against the Astros in Houston before returning home on Thursday.
