WSJ Ranks Pens' Crosby Among Top Athletes In World
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ―
Penguins fans already know that Sidney Crosby is a world-class athlete; but now the Wall Street Journal is celebrating the young hockey star's achievements by naming him among the best athletes in the world.
A panel commissioned by the Journal ranked the Penguins 20-year-old captain as the world's 6th all-around athlete.
The group started by compiling a list of the top 79 athletes before paring it down to the top ten.
In addition to such factors as success and competitiveness, they based their rankings on each individual athlete's speed; vision and reflex; stamina and recovery; coordination and flexibility; as well as power, strength and size.
Crosby was the only hockey star to make the Wall Street Journal's top ten.
