City Development Czar Could Be Exonerated

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― The investigation into one of the city's top development officials may have reached a conclusion.

Pat Ford has been on leave for months awaiting the result of the State Ethics Commission investigation.

He's accused of accepting expensive gifts from an advertising executive doing business with the city.

But KDKA Investigator Andy Sheehan reports that it appears this preliminary inquiry will go no further and Ford will be exonerated.

Ford has denied any wrong-doing throughout the investigation.
