Man Accused In Deaths Of Wife, Kids To Stand Trial

WASHINGTON, PA (KDKA) ― The Washington County man accused of suffocating his wife and two children earlier this month has been ordered to stand trial.

Orlando Guarino, 38, is facing charges in the deaths of his 22-year-old wife, Ashley, his 2-year-old daughter, Dreux, and 10-month-old son, Orlando Jr.

A family member found their bodies inside their Third Street home in Marianna.

Last month, Ashley had received a protection from abuse order against her husband after she accused him of dangling their son out of the door of a moving car.

A judge granted Ashley temporary custody of the children; but Orlando Guarino was permitted to see them on supervised visits.

KDKA's Paul Martino reports that no decision has yet been made as to whether officials will seek the death penalty in this case.

The Washington County District Attorney also indicated that there could possibly be more arrests made in the case because investigators say Guarino received help from others after the deaths of his family.

The investigation continues.
