Coroner To Examine Bones Found In Ohioville

OHIOVILLE (KDKA) ― Divers discovered more skeletal remains in Little Beaver Creek in Ohioville.

Crews went into the murky waters of the creek at about 8:30 a.m. after children found a bone Wednesday evening.

"They stepped on something and they reached down and pulled it out and it was a bone," Ohioville V.F.D. Chief Clarence Dawson said.

Tracy Kinney, 14, says she was there when her brother came across the bones.

"We didn't think they were human bones or nothing - we got them for the dogs," she said.

As it turns out, finding bones in this part of Beaver County is not uncommon.

The Beaver County Coroner will determine if the bones are from a human or an animal.

Randy Tucker, who lives nearby, says not to expect much.

"We'll see what the laboratory comes back with. I've got a funny feeling somebody's going to be embarrassed," he said.
