Ohio Valley Hospital To Close Maternity Ward

KENNEDY TOWNSHIP (KDKA) ― Ohio Valley General Hospital will be closing its maternity ward by the end of the year.

The hospital in Kennedy Township has been delivering babies since 1906, but the number of babies delivered at the facility has been dropping recently.

As a result, the hospital says it can no longer justify keeping the maternity ward open.

However, they will still continue to provide paternal care.
