National City, PNC Bank Transition Begins

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― Changes are coming for thousands of bank accounts today as National City gets ready to officially become part of PNC Bank.

National City bank branches will close by this afternoon and reopen Monday morning as PNC Bank branches.

The change affects a total of 85 branches.

As a result, National City customers are being advised to activate their new PNC Bank ATM debit cards today by calling the number on the sticker or visiting your local branch.

Officials say user ID numbers and passwords will not change.
