Police Arrest 2 In Moon Twp. Burglaries

MOON TOWNSHIP (KDKA) ― Police in Moon Township say they have arrested two men in connection with burglaries at more than half a dozen homes in the community.

Police say witnesses were able to lead officers to the arrests of 21-year-old Shane Annesi, of Imperial, and Justin Meyers, also 21, of Robinson Township.

According to investigators, the thefts happened during daylight hours when most of the residents were at work.

The suspects are accused of knocking on the door to check if anyone is home. Authorities say if there's no answer, the burglars then force their way inside by breaking either glass on a window or door.

The burglaries left many Moon Township residents worried.

"Well, it's frightening," said Lisa Heisler. "Anytime people are having their homes broken into it's scary."

The men are facing several counts of burglary and other related charges.
