MONROEVILLE (KDKA) ―
Police are looking for two suspects in connection with a fatal shooting in Monroeville overnight. Meanwhile, the victim's family wants answers.
Neighbors called police after shots rang out in the 400 block of Fieldstone Drive in the Garden City area of Monroeville around 4 a.m.
Andrew Kane, 25, died from gunshot wounds at the hospital.
Monroeville Police say Kane was gunned down as soon as he pulled into the driveway of the home in his vehicle.
"In my opinion he was ambushed," said Monroeville Police Chief George Polnar.
"It is just a strange turn of events. I don't know where he was coming from, where he had been or anything," said Kane's mother Beverlyn.
Kane's family is baffled by the crime.
His mother, father and other family members showed up to talk to police.
Kane didn't live at that address but his family lived around the corner.
"It doesn't make sense," said Beverlyn. "I mean, you can't even come in your own home and somebody is laying and waiting on you. It's just awful."
Police are looking for two black males reportedly driving a silver-colored Chrysler PT Cruiser.
