No Verdict Yet In Michael Ellerbe Civil Trial

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― Following 11 hours of deliberation, jurors in the civil case against two state troopers for their alleged role in the death of a 12-year-old Uniontown boy have not yet reached a verdict.

The boy, Michael Ellerbe, was shot and killed in December of 2002 during a police chase.

Investigators previously determined that the two troopers, Juan Curry and Samuel Nassan, were not criminally responsible in Ellerbe's death.

However, Ellerbe's family sued claiming the use of excessive force.

Testimony in the case wrapped up on Wednesday and jurors began their deliberations on Thursday.

Stay with KDKA for the latest developments.
