One Killed In Mercer County Crash

LACKAWANNA TWP. (KDKA) ― A Mercer County woman was killed in an accident Friday evening on Interstate 80.

State Police say 27 year-old Melania Bierworth, of Greenville, was killed when her eastbound car ran off the road into the center median, went airborne, rolled several times and then came to rest on its wheels.

The accident happened around 7:30 p.m. in Lackawanna Township, Mercer County near I-80's mile post 10.

Bierworth was pronounced dead at Grove City Medical Center due to blunt force trauma.

Police say Bierworth was wearing her seat belt.
