Meadows, Rivers Casinos Need To Fill 1,400 Jobs

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― Between now and June, the two casinos located closest to Pittsburgh will be giving about 1,400 people jobs in their new facilities.

Almost a thousand of those will be in the Rivers Casino on Pittsburgh's North Shore.

The Rivers Casino will be holding a job fair soon, but the date for the event has not been set. The North Shore facility needs to have all its new employees identified by June 1, 2009. Casino operations begin in August.

Meanwhile, at The Meadows Racetrack & Casino, the need is much more urgent.

The new racetrack grandstand and casino building is counting down to an April 13th test run for charity and if all goes well the full casino will go into operations April 15th.

That means they need to beef up their workforce now. There are about 600 people currently employed at the Meadows and the full operation will need 1,000 workers when it swings into operation.

Accounting for the three weeks needed to get security clearance through the PA Gaming Control Board, the casino needs to select its employees before the week is out.

All you need to do to apply is use the Meadows link, choose the job you'd like, and fill out the job application online. But again don't wait - if you are interested do it now.
