Ex-Boyfriend Charged In McKees Rocks Shooting

McKEES ROCKS (KDKA) ―
A McKees Rocks woman is in the hospital following a shooting at her Chartiers Avenue home overnight; and police say her ex-boyfriend is responsible.
Isaiah Kirkland, 50, is being held in the Allegheny County Jail for allegedly opening fire inside Patricia Murphy's apartment just before midnight.
Police say Kirkland entered Murphy's apartment and confronted her and another man.
"I just started to doze off and I heard a big bang," neighbor Doris Ross told KDKA's Ross Guidotti. "He came in and opened the door and said 'What are you doing cheating on me? And shot her."
Murphy was taken to Allegheny General Hospital with a gunshot wound to her abdomen. She was last listed in critical condition.
After an all night investigation, detectives brought Kirkland in for questioning around 6am.
He is now facing charges including aggravated assault, burglary, recklessly endangering another person and a firearms charge.
