Police Make 2nd Arrest In Alleged Teen Bomb Plot

SOUTH FAYETTE TWP. (KDKA) ― Police have made another arrest in connection to a local teenager's alleged plot to kill his family.

South Fayette Police say Thomas Moore turned himself in Monday morning.

Last week, Christopher Janney, 16, of McDonald, was arrested after he allegedly placed homemade bombs around his house.

Moore is charged with criminal conspiracy, hindering apprehension, and interference with the custody of children.

He's accused of helping Janney move forward with plans to set off the chlorine bombs.  Moore was the person Janney sent text messages to in the planning. He went to Janney's residence and picked up a bag of tablets and a chemical gas mask.

The tablets had an odor of chlorine.

He has a preliminary hearing scheduled for October 20.
