Man Accused In November Shooting Held For Trial

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― The teen accused in the shooting death of a woman in the city's Perry North neighborhood last November appeared in court today for a preliminary hearing.

Jayquan Massey is charged in the shooting of 47-year-old Cheryl Wilds. Officials say he was held for trial on all charges.

Wilds was shot just one day before Thanksgiving after getting off a bus and walking home with groceries for holiday dinner. Wilds died from her injuries last month.

Police say Wilds' son was with Massey at the time of the shooting.

Investigators say Massey was shooting at an SUV, but instead hit Wilds.

Stay with KDKA for the latest details.
