Lower Burrell Couple Sues Martha Stewart's Company

LOWER BURRELL (KDKA) ― A couple from Lower Burrell has filed a federal lawsuit against Martha Stewart's company and Sears Holding Corporation.

Raymond and Sandra Jo Dombrowski claim Stewart's dinnerware caused their two sons to get lead poisoning.

They claim their sons became ill after eating off the "Flowers and Buds" border dinnerware purchased from Kmart in New Kensington.

The lawsuit contends the lead leached out of the pattern and one of the boys is now mentally impaired.

A spokesperson for Martha Stewart Omnimedia told KDKA the company takes consumer product safety very seriously and does not comment on pending litigation.

The family had no comment.
