Graffiti Vandals Strike Again In Lawrenceville

LAWRENCEVILLE (KDKA) ― Pittsburgh's most infamous graffiti tagger is expected to try for a third time to plead guilty, but it looks like some of Daniel Montano's friends want the courts to go easy on him.

This week there has been a rash of graffiti in Lawrenceville. Vandals have been spraying the word "forgive" in bold lettering.

Montano, 22, faces a total of 18 felonies and 64 misdemeanors. He could have a maximum sentence of more than 200 years behind bars.

The latest graffiti crimes could be happening for any number of reasons, ranging from taggers wanting fame, a way to rebel or simply expressing themselves.
