Suspect Sought In Lawrenceville Bank Robbery

LAWRENCEVILLE (KDKA) ― Pittsburgh Police are looking for a suspect following an apparent bank robbery in Lawrenceville.

It happened shortly after 12:30 p.m. at the Allegheny Valley Bank in the 5100 block of Butler Street.

A man who asked about opening a bank account demanded money from the teller.

He claimed to have a gun.

When the teller returned from the vault, she didn't see him. It's unclear if he got away with any money.

The man is described as white, 6' tall with a thin build. He weighs about 140 pounds. He wore a long trench coat and had graying auburn hair.
