Kenny Chesney Concert Rocks Heinz Field
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ―
He's one of the hottest names in country music and today he was in town to rock Heinz Field.
Fans of country music star Kenny Chesney began gathering on the North Shore earlier today to tailgate hours before the big show.
Then, about 60,000 people packed into Heinz Field this evening for the concert featuring not just Chesney, but other big name acts like Keith Urban and LeAnn Rimes as well.
Local country music fans just couldn't help but show their excitement this afternoon.
"Just the aura out here from Kenny Chesney, he's awesome," said fan, Sarah Locke, of Peters Township. "He brings a great energy and we are all so excited."
Other fans said they are excited to share the experience with friends.
"Tailgating with friends, that's the most important part," said fan, Steve Obranpoich, of South Park. "Kenny Chesney is the second best part."
"It's fun," said fan, Jenn Kane, of Natrona Heights. "We've come for the last three years and it's just great for all the entertainers and to be with everyone, see everyone dancing, and having a good time to kick off the summer."
This is the third time Chesney has appeared at Heinz Field.
